Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness, lighter than sleep states, produced through relaxation suggestion. It is safe, relaxing and very enjoyable. Like a massage for the Mind!
In hypnosis people experience deep relaxation, a special peace of mind and an increased ability to respond to life more proactively and positively.
Stress can be eased to such a level that people feel more able to deal with their lives, feel better about themselves, and it can greatly improve the quality of their daily life.
As long as hypnosis is used to assist in the overall management of stress, fear and discomfort and not simply to mask it, it is very helpful. I teach my clients other skills also that they can use on an ongoing basis after the sessions, to help them to manage their feelings and emotions successfully in their everyday lives.
